Anasazi Foundation
The ANASAZI Outdoor Behavioral Healthcare Program is designed for youth 12-17 years
old who are struggling with substance abuse, emotional, or behavioral concerns.
Participants (YoungWalkers) spend a minimum of
42 days in the wilderness of Arizona hiking and camping with little manufactured
gear. They live a primitive lifestyle and learn the skills and technologies
of the "ancient ones."

EIFFEL Scholarships
HEC-EGIDE/EIFFEL for candidates working in emerging countries
Launched in January 1999 by the French Ministry of Foreign
Affairs (Ministère des Affaires Etrangères), the Eiffel Scholarship is
designed to bolster international recruiting by French schools of higher
education, at a time when competition to attract top foreign students
is growing among developed countries.HEC reserves the right to submit
only those candidates it feels best qualify for the Eiffel Scholarship
as the award is particularly competitive and prestigious. Note that
applications from students currently studying outside France will be
given priority over those from students already studying in France.
Eligibility: The HEC MBA Program applies on behalf of admitted eligible students. In order to be eligible the candidate must:
Selection Criteria: Candidates wishing to apply for the Eiffel Scholarship must write an essay, describing how the scholarship will help them achieve their long-term career goals. They should explain what they aim to achieve from the MBA program and how they will implement this in their future career. As it is offered by the French Government, candidates should address issues such as why they are studying in France.
Personal Financial Statement: Applicants must submit a detailed description of their financial circumstances as well as a cash-flow forecast for 16-month duration at HEC.
Amount of Award: The Eiffel Scholarship provides participants with a monthly allowance of €1,181, and covers additional expenses including travel, health insurance and cultural activities. Tuition fees are not covered by the scholarship.
Application Deadline: End of November each year (after enrollment confirmation).

Shirley Gilliver Memorial Fund
Shirley Gilliver Memorial Fund Grants
The Fund was established by the Family, friends and
colleagues of Shirley Gilliver, a Senior Tutor in the School of
Behavioural Sciences, who died in a road accident returning to
Townsville from the Cairns campus on 22 April 1991. The Fund was
established to promote the study of social welfare policy and problems
of rural North Queensland.
Nature of the Scholarship:
The value of the grants shall be determined by the
Selection Committee determine from time to time based on the available
income of the Fund, as advised by the Director of Resources.
Eligibility Criteria:
Grants from the Shirley Gilliver Memorial Fund shall be open to competition among candidates who:

are Australian citizens or permanent residents of Australia; and
-
are a full-time student of the University enrolled in
-
a Bachelor of Community Welfare;
-
a Bachelor of Social Work;
-
a Bachelor of Community Welfare with Honours;
-
a Bachelor of Social Work with Honours;
-
a Masters of Social Work;
-
a Masters of Social Policy; or
-
a Doctorate undertaking research in rural communities.
