The University Commission for Development Belgium

The University Commission for Development (CUD) provides scholarships for International Students from developing Countries to study in Belgium. As part of the curriculum and international internships 2014-2015, CIUF grants 150 scholarships and 70 fellowships. Within its Programme for International Courses and Training programmes, CIUF grants each year 150 scholarships for participation into the courses and 70 for participation into the training programmes.

 HOW TO INTRODUCE AN APPLICATION
HOW TO INTRODUCE AN APPLICATION FOR A SCHOLARSHIP? 
  • The application form can be downloaded from our website.

  • It will be carefully completed and returned, ONLY by POST MAIL or EXPRESS MAIL, to CIUF-CUD, that must be in their possession at the latest by FEBRUARY, 13, 2013* (we do not hold account of the postmark, we take into account only the files arrived in our buildings for the date limits at the latest)
  • No acknowledgement of receipt will be provided
  • Only applications presented on the appropriate form, and in the language of the programme, will be submitted to the selection committee.

  • All elements of the file must be transmitted simultaneously. No complementary document will be admitted at a later stage.

  • The candidates selected and of reserve will receive an e-mail at the end of the selections (end of May 2013). The non-selected candidates will receive an e-mail in the current of june 2013.

  • No document transmitted to CIUF-CUD will be returned to the candidates.

  • No treatment will be given to files that do not respect one of the rules of selection clearly mentioned on the website (certified diploma, age, professional experience,...).

DGD Scholarships

With the financial support of the Belgian Directorate for Development Co-operation (DGD), ITM offers a number of fellowships to applicants from developing countries. Admission to a program/course is a prerequisite for, but not a guarantee of, a scholarship.
Who is eligible?
  • Candidates must be under 46 years of age.
  • Only nationals of the following countries are eligible for a DGD fellowship:

    Algeria, Bangladesh, Benin, Bolivia, Brazil, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cambodia, China, Colombia, Cuba, DR Congo, Ecuador, El Salvador, Ethiopia, Philippines, Guatemala, Guinea, Haiti, India, Indonesia, Ivory Coast, Cameroun, Kenya, Madagascar, Mali, Morocco, Mozambique, Nicaragua, Niger, Palestinian Territories, Peru, Rwanda, Senegal, South Africa, Suriname, Tanzania, Uganda, Vietnam, Zambia, Zimbabwe.
How to apply

  • Download a DGOS application form. Add the completed form to the other documents in your application.
  • Your employer must authorize your enrolment. Add his letter of consent.
